Dolphin Digital Studio A
Click on image below to enlarge
The main studio features a live room and a vocal booth for isolation and separation. All audio is tracked through a 30 X 8 X 2 TAC Scorpion console. Using Digidesign's Pro Tools, 002 hardware and 3 Tascam DA88's for tracking, up to 48 discrete digital tracks are available. This method of tracking digital audio through an analog console adds a warmth and clarity to the overall sound.

Mixing and high quality mastering services are available. Pro Tools sessions created in other studios can be imported and re-mixed. Audio conversion from other sources such as stand-alone audio workstations is also provided.

The studio uses a Macintosh G5 dual 2.0 gigahertz computer running Pro Tools and Digital Performer 4.0 under OS X (Tiger) A long list of virtual instrument plug-ins, effects, and a vast sample library is also available.

The library of loops samples and synth sounds can be made available to clients seeking production services from Dolphin Digital. Our experts will sweeten your project by using these marvelous tools.

These virtual instruments are now replacing the hardware based synths and samplers we once used. The power and flexibility of this software surpasses that of the hardware units in terms of memory capacity and editing functions.

Software
Technology has changed and so have the instruments. What was once cutting edge hardware can now be replicated with software and further enhanced in many ways. We utilize a package of software synths that we consider to be the best arsenal of sounds. The full line of the amazing Spectrasonic's virtual instruments, including Atmosphere, Stylus (drums and loops) and Trilogy are used for scoring and sound design. These synths have the best sounds sampled from every synth, from Nord Leads, Moog, Virus, Waldorf, Roland and many more synths. Propellerhead's Reason 2.5 is used to create amazing compositional and sound design possibilities.
